Understanding a Bid/Quote
What to look for when hiring a Roofer
- Avoid door-to-door solicitors offering low cost construction services.
- Always do your homework before hiring a contractor; telephone the Arizona Registrar of Contractors office to ensure the contractor is licensed.
- Obtain several bids or estimates and ask for references.
- Obtain a written contract from the contractor that includes all services to be provided, the license number of the contractor, and start up and completion dates of the project.
The ARCA Difference
ARCA is a dynamic and well-respected trade association primarily comprised of commercial and residential roofing contractors and roofing related manufacturers, suppliers and service providers. Established in 1969, ARCA has grown to become one of the largest trade associations in Arizona, with over 250 members throughout the state.
The Arizona Roofing Industry Foundation (ARIF) was created in 2009 to operate for the benefit of, or to perform the functions of, and carry out charitable or educational purposes of the Arizona Roofing Contractors Association (ARCA). While closely affiliated both organizations operate independently of each other and have separate Boards of Directors.
ARCA Board Members volunteer their time to support the board President, ARCA’s assets, enhance the organization’s presence, ensures accountability, and assess the organization’s performance.
